Juvederm® is a gel-based dermal filler that is injected into the skin to soften lines, wrinkles, and folds on the face and neck. It is made of hyaluronic acid, which is already contained in the body. For this reason, no allergy tests are required.

Juvederm® is effective on moderate to severe wrinkles on the cheeks and the nasolabial folds that form from the nose to the corners of the mouth. It can also be used for temporary lip augmentation to make thin lips fuller and poutier.

The results are immediate, and Juvederm® injections usually last 6-9 months, although some patients have seen the results last as long as a year.

Dr. Singer’s objective is always to provide you with a natural look that is not detectable. You will look younger and more refreshed, but not overdone.

Your Juvederm® Consultation

During your consultation with Dr. Singer, he will ask you to point out which lines and wrinkles on your face and neck you would like to correct. He will examine your skin and give you an assessment of what can be accomplished and which procedures can bring you an optimal outcome.

He will always recommend non-surgical techniques like Juvederm® or another injectable if they can provide you with the results you want. If not, he will give you straight talk about other non-surgical and surgical options so that you can make an informed decision about your procedure(s).

The Juvederm® Procedure

Juvederm® is very smooth and glides easily into the skin for a smooth look. The injections contain Lidocaine to reduce your discomfort, and Dr. Singer applies a topical numbing cream as well. Your session will only take 15-30 minutes, and you can go home immediately.

Recovery from Juvederm® Injections

No downtime is required after Juvederm® injections. You might experience some minor swelling, bruising, redness, and/or itching after your treatment, but these symptoms usually only last for a few days.
