CHARLESTON CHUA, MD, DABS

Charleston Chua, MD, DABS is a board-eligible plastic surgeon with extensive training and experience in the field.

Dr. Chua received his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Nevada, Reno, where he graduated in Curso Honorum. He went on to earn his Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno, NV. During his time in medical school, he served as Vice President for the Class of 2013.

After completing medical school, Dr. Chua went on to complete a residency in General Surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA. He then pursued further training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, completing an independent residency at the University of California, Davis, in Sacramento, CA.

Dr. Chua has published several articles and abstracts in peer-reviewed medical journals, including the Journal of Trauma Nursing and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Global Open. He has also presented papers and posters at various conferences, including the World Congress of Surgery of the International Society of Surgery ISS/SIC.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Chua has held several professional and hospital positions, including serving as Chair of the Resident Medical Staff and the Resident COVID Task Force at the University of California Davis Medical Center. He has also served as an Instructor for Advanced Trauma Life Support.
