In cases of symmastia (breasts coming together in the middle of the chest) and implant shifting into the armpit, Strattice mesh helps stabilize the implant placement, providing additional support to weakened tissue. What Is the Internal Bra Technique?
The internal bra technique is a surgical technique designed to help support the placement of breast implants. Similar to a push-up bra, Strattice mesh is used along the lower portion of the breast, creating a frame that lifts and stabilizes the implant placement. Sutures then work to close a section of the breast pocket, ensuring the breast implant stays in the ideal location.
